Onelife Magazine Shoot

Land Rover’s Onelife magazine joined us for 24hrs with a shiny looking Evoque model which did make the old Defender warhorse look a little untidy!

Photographer Juan Trujillo Andrades and Redwood‘s Editor Bill Dunn plus family were great to host and young Sal and Doodle proving two young budding hunter/trackers it was a great fun to have on a fast-track 24hrs for photos for the article. More to follow when the article is door dropped….

Wilderness Gathering 2014

August 14, 2014 Comments Off on Wilderness Gathering 2014

Summer showers greeted us at the Bison Farm for this years Wilderness Gathering. With a new structure to put up it was great to have many hands making light work and with some strong winds to test it over the weekend I think we can comfortably say we did a good job. Fantastic to see some familiar traders there and to talk to lots of people about our new courses. Thank you to Peter for running the catapult range so well – i think we converted a new generation of marksmen in the 3 days!  Big thank you to Karen for giving up almost a week to be with us.

Sands of Africa

July 10, 2014 Comments Off on Sands of Africa

Early July saw a last minute trip down to South Africa, staying on site with an ex-ranger/ PH/farmer. Great to be out in some new territory with new tracking signs to be learnt, animals to identify and plenty of hunting on sticks. Sean’s knowledge and senses are an inspiration for any hunter and led us into some pretty memorable encounters with big and small. With thanks to Rob for arranging the introductions and to Sean and Jo van Zyl for amazing hospitality – hope to see you back here for the return trip!
